  1. What print adverts were used to advertise the game? Find examples and post them on your blog.
  2. What key conventions of print adverts can you find on the example you have chosen? Product name? Font? Slogan? Central image? Colour?
My example consists of the original font for the whole of the Gta series. Release date, Title, Central image, Colour
  3. Find three reviews for your game that were originally published in video game magazines. Are they positive or negative about the game? Copy and paste one quote from each review.
The primary accomplishment in Grand Theft Auto V isn’t gameplay. It’s character. Grand Theft Auto V believes so strongly in its characters that everything else — even gameplay — is secondary.
Memorable missions, barnstorming heists, amusing side objectives and an almost impossibly immersive world to explore, make for the best Grand Theft Auto since Vice City and San Andreas.
From skydiving and submarine exploration to bounty-hunting and watching animated shorts, GTA V is absolutely crammed full of things to do, and it looks amazing while you do them.
  4. Did your game feature on any video-game magazine front covers? Find examples and explain why a front cover feature is so successful in promoting a game to its target audience.
Because the front article is what everyone reads first before anything to see what the magazine consists of and if gamers are reading this then they assume that this is going to be the next best thing.
  5. Did your chosen game use a TV advert to promote the game? Embed it from YouTube if it did and explain how it fits the key conventions of a TV advert.
The TV advert is of some of the clips in campaign mode and although they made it look like a TV drama this shows how realistic this game is with fans wanting to do every small detail that a gangster does e.g. Smoking, Drinking and prostitutes.
  6. Is there a game trailer on YouTube? Embed it on your blog and explain why it is effective in promoting the game to its target audience.
The game trailer is someone who narrates a life you could have with gta V by doing everything a gangster would do and leave your everyday life but live in this virtual life.
  7. Can you find any other broadcast features on the game - interviews, launch party events, video reviews, clips of the gameplay on YouTube etc. Write about how they effectively promote the game to its target audience.
  8. Visit your chosen game's official website. How does it attract and maintain the interest of its target audience? its says right at the start please verify your age which tells us this game will have explicit content and give people the excitement of breaking the law in game.
  9. Are there any creative or interesting aspects to the game's official website?
it says visit los santos where the game takes place which has synergy with the trailer as it sounds like a holiday
  10. Does the game have a YouTube channel?
    yes
  11. Can you find any examples of user-generated content on YouTube that players have created and uploaded from the game? Embed any examples on your blog.
  12. How does user-generated content such as gameplay videos help to promote the game?
shows all their subscribers what a great game it is and they can have there iwn fun rather than watching someone else play the game
  13. How many 'likes' has your chosen game's Facebook wall had? 99,853 likes
